Pair of bronze tazze

Late 19th century bronze tazze, possibly French. This identical pair feature a female caryatid stem in Greek drapery supported by a turned base. The cups bear a central motif of the quiver of arrows and flaming torch, symbols of ardent love, surrounded by cherubs, doves and garlands. Traditionally tazze were used for serving small food items or simply for decoration.
