George III drop-side mahogany table circa 1800, with single gate leg. The solid mahogany book-matched top has a beautifully faded figure. It is ovoid in form, cross-banded in mahogany with string inlay. Originally 2 D-end tables: the top of one was hinged on to create this six-seater dining/breakfast table. Elegant tapered legs with well-functioning castors. The table would also serve as a lovely hall table, folded down.
